Why choose Andrea Boettger?

​

Andrea Boettger has been a resident of New Ulm for over nine years after she and her husband Jeff relocated from Emmaus, Pennsylvania. Jeff, a New Ulm native, works in Fleet Management at J&R Schugel Trucking. Andrea works part time at several New Ulm businesses and volunteers her time in the community whenever she is able. Andrea and Jeff have two children. Jordan will be attending New Ulm Middle School and is active with basketball and softball. Jackson will begin kindergarten this fall at Washington Learning Center.

Andrea has accumulated strong career experience in the professions of banking & finance and non-profit, and has worked in the hospitality industry for over twenty years.  Through her local involvement, Andrea has become an advocate for New Ulm and is hopeful to represent the New Ulm community as a City Councilperson.

​

Currently, Andrea serves as the Board Chairperson for The Grand Center for Arts & Culture, and Vice Chairperson for the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce Willkommen Committee. Andrea’s local volunteer experience includes Bockfest, Bavarian Blast, Oktoberfest. She has also assisted on multiple Chamber Event Committees including the Welcome to the Party Networking Event and Mingle with a Purpose: Heels and All.

Andrea is a member of New Ulm HYPE, an organization for young professionals, and has previously been a member of the New Ulm Turnverein. In her spare time, Andrea is a member on the Bits-N-Pieces Tuesday Night Bowling League and plays on the Women’s Thursday Night Volleyball League at Kegel Klub.

 

Andrea hopes to bring the following value to the residents in Ward 4:

Support – Listen and respond to citizens, maintain awareness of city government operations, attend meetings, carry out city councilperson duties with diligence and understanding.

Promote – Drive awareness of local business offerings, promote the community within itself and beyond. Serve as a voice for New Ulm at the local level and promote the city and its history and charm to nonresidents.

Grow – Research and be aware of economic and social opportunities that may be beneficial to New Ulm and surrounding communities. Report findings and encourage action on subjects relevant to prosperity.

Andrea will soon be visiting the residents in her district by way of a door-knocking campaign, and will be walking in the Bavarian Blast parade on Sunday, July 22.
